I didn't know if I'd be able to get any pictures of my outfit today due to all the rain, but it let up a little. Hooray! I always enjoy dressing up for holidays. I actually had a completely different outfit planned for today but when I put it on I didn't like it. So here's the one I came up with after that:
tights: c/o Oasap.com
top, headband: forever 21
cardigan: old navy
skirt, belt: thrifted
shoes: daisy fuentes; kohls?
necklace: gift from Matt a couple years back
How do you like my cool new tights? I'd been really enjoying striped ones, so I'm glad to have a pair of my own. They get even more interesting at the top, but I'll show you that part in another outfit!
P.S.: Sorry about the poop on the ground. I guess the birds wanted to leave me a Valentine.
Now I realize I wore the same skirt and shoes for last Valentine's Day. Oh well! I put on the skirt I originally wanted to wear today and it was a bit big on me. So I figured I was having a skinny day and put on this skirt which is usually pretty tight. Compromise.
A heart for you.
This is my fifth Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. Isn't that crazy? I told him that was scary.
Even when I didn't have a valentine I enjoyed Valentine's day though. I don't understand people who hate on a holiday about love. Yeah, I know a lot of it is commercialized, but you don't have to buy anything. You get an excuse to eat as much chocolate (or other sweets) as you like and wear a gaudy amount of heart jewelry. And for those of you that are like, "I have no boyfriend", Valentine's Day doesn't have to be about romantic love. You have people you love in your life no matter if you have a significant other or not. Don't forget your friends and family! Valentine's Day is also a great way to break up the monotony of winter after December because it sure gets boring after all the holiday stuff is over.
I'm looking forward to dinner tonight. I'm making French onion soup with the melted cheese on top. The lemon creme brulee is cooling in the fridge too. I'm very much looking forward to that!
I hope you enjoy your Tuesday! Happy Valentine's Day!

I don't hate valentines day, i just think the pressure it puts on couples to be ultra lovey is a bit silly. I always celebrate it with a fancy homecooked meal with my family though. We get each other cute little things (like last year my mom got me soooo many animal crackers)
I loove your skirt, such a beautiful shade and fit, and those striped tights are so great. Thats crazy you and your boy have been together for so long :) Happy heart day

Love the outfit, those tights are great! :) I'm not anti Valentines though I do think it's a little hyped, and it's silly if people only make grand gestures on this one day. But my boyfriend is cooking for me tonight! I love French onion soup, enjoy :p xx
You look adorable. I really like the striped tights. I agree with you on Valentines day. While it isn't my favorite holiday - I don't hate it and it is a great excuse to eat candy haha. Have a lovely dinner with your man, all that food sounds so good :]
Pssh rain? We're having a snow storm! Let's trade. I love your skirt and those tights are so crazy unique. They remind me of the circus, but in a good stylish way? Enjoy your dinner and your boyfriend tonight!
Also I agree, how can you hate on a day about love?!
Oh my goodness! This is pretty much the most adorable outfit ever! Happy Valentines! Xo Lori

Thats such a sweet top and your red skirt is perfect for Valentine's day. I like your perspective on valentines I think you are totally right. This was my 5th valentines with my partener too!
Cute outfit! I love those striped tights! xo
Oh man - those tights! Incredible!
I've always loved Valentine's Day, and personally, I think the hatred for it is a little silly! It's a day to celebrate love of all kinds, and it brings back so many memories of elementary school and little handmade valentine boxes...

You are just so funny! I love how you can crack me up every time I come read your posts. You looked stunning on Vday! I'd love to have a "skinny-day" once in a while. For the past few months I haven't had one... maybe my brain is trying to tell me to get back into the gym!? Haha!

LOVE the tights! Are they stockings or do they just have detailing at the top of the legs? I don't hate Valentines, I just don't really like the idea of it. I like to love every day! I'm a bit of a grinch when it comes to holidays really :)
