On Monday Jeanie and I headed downtown to spend some of our joint Starbucks giftcard, but ended up taking a detour and stopping at a vintage store I'd been wanting to check out for a while. Athens has a bunch of great thrift shops, but I rarely take advantage of them. It's hard to find a time for both Jeanie and I to be free during the daytime and I don't really have anybody else to go with. Thrifting is way more fun with a companion, I think! I didn't end up getting anything, but Minx Vintage was so cute I'll definitely be going back. I'm currently kicking myself for not buying the 60's floral sundress I saw there. Next time I'll remember the 1/2 off coupon that's sitting on my end table.
And...outfit intermission. I wasn't too impressed with this one. It's one of those times where I threw clothes on and it was a fail. I've had this skirt since freshman year of college and I used to love it, but now I look at it and it doesn't seem that flattering. Also in this picture it looks like shorts because it's so windy. I'll call this phenomenon "wind shorts".

I agree, thrifting is much better with a friend. I think it's being able to share the finds/hilarity of some of the items with them. Anyways, I love the mint with the all black and your hat is AWESOME.
