It's Tuesday! Here's a great song by The Decemberists. It's a particularly good listen in the morning when I need motivation to get ready or on my walk to class. The song has this great galloping feel.
This is the first song I heard from The Decemberists. I think it was summer 2006 - relatively soon after this album came out. I do believe my cousins played it while we were driving around town.
I love how most of their songs have a story to tell and this one is no exception. Great song. Great band. They're fantastic live too!

Love the Decemberists! I don't own any of their albums but they regularly come up on my favorite Pandora station (which I think started out as a Belle & Sebastian station actually, so there's another one for you to try if you haven't already). I also love that their songs sound like stories you would tell to explain a mysterious old photograph.
